MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND GALA

The Middle School Band Gala is a venue in which our students perform for a much larger audience, learn to work with other directors and collaborate on a performance with students from all of the Middle Schools in Billings. Students must learn one song to play in the individual event, and 3 songs to perform in a mass band setting.

The All City Jazz Band members are hand selected by each school band director. The selection of participants from Will James will be based on student musicianship, leadership skills, and academic achievement.

The Middle School Band Gala is and annual event for 8^th grade band students only. It consists of a rehearsal at Castle Rock Middle School in the morning, and a formal concert that same evening. Concert attendance is graded. Students must dress in appropriate concert attire, as per the band handbook.
