WJMS
JAZZ BAND
The WJMS Jazz Band program is open to all current band
students in grades 7 and 8. Rehearsals will run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.,
every Wednesday that school is in session.
Participating students MUST SIGN IN AT THE ATTENDANCE
OFFICE before coming down to the band room for each rehearsal.
The
Jazz Band program is open to all students who play the following instruments:
Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Bari Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Drum Set, Piano,
Electric Bass, String Bass, and Electric Guitar. Students must be in the
Concert Band program in order to participate in the Jazz Band.
The
survival of this performance-based group is dependent solely on the attendance
of its members. Attendance will be taken at each rehearsal. However, this class
will NOT
be a part of their Concert Band grade on their report card. Students who have
missed 3 Jazz Band rehearsals will NOT be allowed to participate on the
performance. However, they may rejoin the group once the performance is
